Suvi Tolonen

Suvi is involved in the Social and Healthcare Expenditures work package (WP5). She prepares and conducts research interviews. She is also working on her own doctoral dissertation, which focuses on the unmet care needs of Europeans over the age of 50 in the social and healthcare sector.

The aim of the study is to identify the factors influencing the experience of unmet care needs both at the individual level within different countries and in comparisons between countries. Additionally, the research seeks to examine the relationship between different healthcare systems and unmet care needs using data from the Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE). The study also explores the impact of unmet care needs on perceived well-being.
